Online training opportunities with the European Patent Office

Munich – The European Patent Office (EPO) is offering a broad range of online training materials on patent- and IP-related matters through its e-learning centre, with many open-access courses and modules available.

Modules are aimed at users of differing proficiency and experience, and cover practical issues such as: searching for patents; applying for a patent; patent law and practice and; intellectual property in business.

Interested learners can follow a number of topical live events and webinars, where experts present content, demonstrate live searches with the various EPO patent information products and respond to the participants’ questions.

Full online courses are also available, either tutored or self-taught, for people interested in a more comprehensive insight into the European patent system.
