CETENMA celebrates 25 years, looking towards 2050

On 5 November, our member CETENMA, a Spanish energy and environmental technological centre with extensive experience in European collaborative innovation projects, is commemorating its 25th anniversary in Cartagena.

CETENMA’s 25th anniversary is an invitation to collectively envision the Europe we want to build — and the role that entities, such as G!E members, should play in shaping it.

For this, CETENMA is organising a roundtable that focuses on the future of Europe:
“Looking to 2050: How to Build a More Resilient and Competitive Europe.”

This will be a great opportunity to analyse and discuss the challenges and opportunities that Europe faces to become a real leader in innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness — and to reflect on how technology centres can become engines of resilience and innovation in the coming decades, offering concrete ideas and strategies to tackle future challenges.

The discussions will focus on:
Competitiveness and sustainability: Exploring how both can go hand in hand within Europe’s productive landscape.
R&D and technology transfer: Maximising the impact of research and innovation on markets and society.
Collaboration among stakeholders: Strengthening partnerships between companies, technology centres, and universities to create synergies that boost regional and European resilience.
Strategic sectors for 2050: Identifying both established and emerging sectors critical for a competitive and sustainable Europe.
Methodologies and best practices: Sharing tools and experiences that optimise innovation outcomes and promote project replicability across different contexts.

G!E members will be participating, and conclusions will be shared in our next Greenovator!
