Bio
Vicky has 20 years’ experience in EU affairs, having worked both for EU institutions and the private sector in Brussels. Most recently Vicky was representing a large multinational engineering company at EU level, carrying out early intelligence activities to identify new business opportunities and the right partners and experts. Before this Vicky held positions at the European Commission (DG Research and Innovation, and DG Energy), the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions. Vicky joined us in June 2018 and has responsibility for the day-to-day management of the organisation, acquisition of new business, as well as networking and representation.
Bio
Simon has more than eight years of experience in political and scientific communication, with particular expertise in European policy-making, and the environment, energy and innovation sectors.
Simon is currently a Thematic Expert in Low-carbon Economy for the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform, having previously led the production of a number of studies and reports for clients such as INTERREG IVC, Interreg Europe and the CENTRAL EUROPE Programme. In European projects, Simon has led on dissemination and exploitation work packages and currently manages ADVANCEFUEL and SEALIVE.
Bio
James is project and communication manager specialising in circular economy and bioeconomy topics. He joined Greenovate! Europe in October 2015 and since then has managed communication, dissemination and replication activities in a number of EU funded research projects. James is now leading work packages in the projects SCALIBUR (circular economy for biowaste; Horizon 2020), SmartCHP (bioenergy cogeneration; Horizon2020) and Bio4Products (bio-based chemicals and products; Horizon 2020). James also manages G!E communications.
Bio
Martin is a Project Manager with experience in the Energy field. He is currently managing Greenovate! Europe’s Smart City projects Sinfonia and STARDUST, where G!E is leading replication activities to share knowledge and build capacity in a number of ‘follower’ cities. Martin’s previous experience includes time with EDF, where he was working as EU funding officer in their Brussels office. Prior to EDF, Martin worked for consultancy group ARTTIC.
Bio
Daniel is a Project Manager responsible for the management of European research projects and supporting the wider communication activities of the organisation. Daniel joined in September 2020 and is currently supporting Greenovate! Europe’s activities in the SCALIBUR and GO-GRASS projects. His previous experience includes sustainability consulting and working at the Scottish Parliament.
