We warmly invite you to join us for the SmartCHP project final conference on 27 November in Brussels!
Currently, around 80% of cogeneration plants use natural gas and fossil fuels as their primary source. The EU-funded SmartCHP project has developed a novel, flexible small-scale cogeneration unit to produce heat and electricity from sustainable biomass. This will help boost the use of renewables in the electricity and heating and cooling sectors, contributing to the 2030 climate and energy targets.
The event will take place from 14:00-17:00 at Silversquare Bailli (Avenue Louise) and will be divided into three parts:
- Technology session: Innovative technologies for the production of heat and power from biomass will be presented
- Market session: Practitioners will discuss the market perspective from various stakeholders including R&I projects, institutions and industry
- Policy session: Policy experts will debate upcoming legislation and initiatives related to bio-CHP.
A networking reception will follow the event.
The event is a ‘pre-conference event’ connected to European Bioenergy Future, the flagship annual event organised by Bioenergy Europe. Registration for the SmartCHP event is now open via their platform.
