MeeFS final event held in Brussels

Brussels – MeeFS partners hosted a mini-conference and reception to present the work carried out during the project as well as preliminary results to an audience in Brussels last week.

Around 30 people attended the event, showing significant interest in the MeeFS multifunctional energy efficient facade system.

Co-ordinator Magdalena Rozanska, from Acciona, kicked off the event, giving a general overview of the project and explaining the advantages of retrofitting with MeeFS. This was followed by a presentation from Eva Galache Ramos, from Junta de Extramadura, who described some of the experiences and lessons learnt from the organisation of the MeeFS demonstration, which is ongoing at a social housing building in Merida.

Julen Astudillo, from Tecnalia, and Isabel Lacave Azpeitia, from Acciona, then presented in detail the MeeFS breakthrough units: the advanced passive solar collector and ventilation unit, and the advanced solar protection and energy absorption unit.

The final session looked beyond the end of the project, with Karine Laffont, from Technofi, and Michael Heidenreich (both third parties of Greenovate! Europe) explaining the possible exploitation routes for the MeeFS system, and how these can be maximised.
