European Water Stewardship initiative leading innovation in the water sector

30 September, Brussels – The European Water Stewardship (EWS) initiative has taken part in the Wetsus Congress 2015, showing evidence of the ways in which they have assisted in improving water governance and stimulated technological development.

The EWS addresses the everyday challenges of water users both in and outside of Europe, by delivering tools and guidance to address water-related risks.

At a side-event at the Wetsus Congress, key actors from the EWS set out the importance of their scheme for supporting sustainable development, and examples were given of the successful creation of water stewardship strategies with large companies.
