Greenovate! Europe is a not-for-profit network of organisations dedicated to sustainable innovation. Together, we develop sustainability projects and provide innovation support services to researchers, companies and policy-makers. We foster collaboration between our members and carry out dissemination and policy activities in EU funded projects.

Greenovate! Europe is looking for a Finance and Administrative Assistant to support the direction with tasks related to: processing of invoices and receipts, budget preparation and monitoring, financial reporting, etc. The candidate will also support our small team with administrative and logistical tasks related to purchasing, travels and events.

Main tasks

  • Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
  • Assist with VAT returns and end of year accounts
  • Provide administrative support during budget preparation
  • Tracking budget expenditures and balances
  • Support with financial audits
  • Support monthly payroll and communication with payroll partners
  • Provide support to financial reporting within our projects
  • Arrange logistics for meetings and events, including venue hire and catering
  • Book travel and accommodation for team members

The ideal profile

  • Relevant working experience as financial assistant/officer or similar
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Independent and responsible with excellent organisational skills
  • Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • Ability to multi­‐task
  • Self-starter and pro-active
  • Excellent communicator both written and spoken
  • Full working proficiency in English; French and/or Dutch an asset.
